The Orthopedic Surgery Department at SMH is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions. Our team of highly skilled orthopedic surgeons specializes in treating a wide range of disorders affecting the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Utilizing advanced surgical techniques and state-of-the-art technology, we aim to restore function, alleviate pain, and improve the quality of life for our patients.

Orthopedic Services:


  • Spine Surgery:
    • Discectomy: Removal of herniated disc material pressing on a nerve root or spinal cord.
    • Spinal Fusion: Surgical procedure to join two or more vertebrae together to eliminate movement and alleviate pain.
    • Laminectomy: Removal of part of the vertebral bone called the lamina to relieve pressure on the spinal cord.
  • Trauma and Fracture Care:
    • Fracture Repair: Surgical and non-surgical treatment of broken bones.
    • Complex Trauma Surgery: Management of severe injuries involving multiple fractures or joints.

    • ACL Reconstruction: Surgical repair of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the knee.
    • Meniscus Repair: Surgical repair of a torn meniscus in the knee.
